DIAMOND CRUISE
About this tour
Please take a minute and read the following tips, in order to have a memorable and pleasant trip.
BEFORE YOU GO
• Our crew members could offer you a blanket, however we suggest bringing warm clothes with you. You may find the weather very hot during the middle of the day; however the sea breeze during the sunset, especially if you swim, is cold.
• White or light-colored bathing suits might be stained from the sulfur oxide at the Hot Springs. Also, jewelry, silver or gold might stain. Please avoid taking important items with you on the cruise.
MOTION SICKNESS
• Eat lightly and keep something in your stomach. There is evidence that motion sickness can be triggered at the point when the food has been digested, so regular small snacks will actually reduce the risk of sea sickness. Having an empty stomach is definitely not preferable.
• Our crew members will offer you natural chewing gums that prevent the sea sickness, so please do not hesitate to ask for one. Try to avoid thinking of sea sickness as 99% of the time is mental.
WHILE BEING ON BOARD THE YACHT
• If you do not feel confident about your swimming skills please ask for a swimming noodle from the crew members.
• Please keep one hand free on the boat. Try to avoid carrying many things at the same time.
• On the white surface of the yacht there are some black windows, please avoid stepping on them because they are slippery. Please step on the white part of the boat.
• In the front side of the yacht there are 2 safety nets, they might look like trampolines but they are not, please do not jump on them in order to avoid any accidents.
• Please DO NOT dive from the front side of the yacht; you may use one of the sides open for diving and at the back side of the boat with the lantern as well.
• On the boat we have motor toilets. Please do not throw toilet paper, plastics or any other trash in the toilet. You may use the trash bin by the side.
•According to Greek legislation, neither yachts nor boats are allowed to moor directly on the beach. Sunset Oia has selected the best points for swimming and snorkeling, as close as possible to the beach.
AT THE HOT SPRINGS
• Please do not attempt swimming at the Hot Springs in the following cases: if you have any heart disease (it does not matter if you take medication or not), allergies to sulfur, hypothermia, pregnancy, if you ate too much and you feel your body heavy or if you are not a good swimmer. You could swim around the boat or stay on board.
• Try to avoid stepping on the rocks because they are very slippery.
ITINERARY AND STOPS
• Kindly note that the itinerary and stops of the cruise may be subject of alterations, without prior notice, in case of inclement weather.
